The ASX200 has closed the day down just over half a per cent.
The energy sector lead gains today and closed up 2 per cent, followed by utilities up just over one per cent.
The Materials sector took the hardest hit, dropping nearly two per cent, while Discretionary also experienced a loss of 1.3 per cent.
