Australian Share Market Rallies Past 6000

The local sharemarket rose 1% today, taking the ASX200 and All Ordinaries Index well above the 6,000 threshold, heights we haven't seen in almost a decade.

A sudden surge in oil prices or inflation, and the usual laundry list of geopolitical risks could, of course, quickly unhinge confidence going forward.

That said, between historically low interest rates, stubbornly low inflation, a recovering resources sector, and stronger global growth, markets appear to be in somewhat of a sweet spot at the moment - so enjoy!
